Description	:	According to "A Short History of Samuel and Barbara Miller" by John's nephew Isaac Miller (1906): John was raised in Rockingham Co., VA, and moved to Allen Co, OH, with his parents in the fall of 1839. He lived his entire life on their home farm and was buried in the Sugar Creek cemetery at the southeast corner of the farm. He married four times, had twelve children, and was step-father of nine. John's third wife was Christena King, a widow and mother of four daughters, married 3 Sep 1863, in Allen Co., who died 19 May 1870. Their children were: Dianah Miller (b 13 Jun 1864) m Benjamin F. Freet Charley Allen Miller (b 26 Aug 1866, d 20 Dec 1867) George Franklin Miller (b 12 May 1870, d 24 Jan 1887). John's fourth wife was Rebecca Leedy, a widow and mother of five children, who lived with him until his death. He was a successful farmer, owner of a number of farms, and a deacon in the Church of the Brethren.
