| Description | : | From the LaFollette Press, Thursday, October 25, 1979: John Stanford, 82, of LaFollette, died at 6:15 a.m. Saturday, October 20 at the LaFollette Community Hospital. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include nine daughters, Stella Rogers, Maggie Williamson, Nettie Davis, Agnes Gibson, Lois Gibson, Jewell Chapman, and Lavon Petree, all of LaFollette, Imogene Beeler, Vandalia, Ohio, and Mary Hembree, Aston, Pennsylvania; two sons, Kennedy Stanford, LaFollette, and Edward Stanford, Warren Michigan; 44 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
