Description	:	John Butler died at his home on E. High St. this morning at 7:15 o'clock. For the past three years Mr. Butler has been ailing and of late his decline was rapid. He was born 64 years ago in Coshocton County. When the Civil War began he enlisted in Company F, of the 48th Ohio Regiment. In one of the battles of this war the sight in both eyes was destroyed and since that time he lived upon a liberal government pension. Mr. Butler was twice married. For the past three years Mr. Butler has been ailing and of late his decline was rapid. He was born 64 years ago in Coshocton County. When the Civil War began he enlisted in Company F, of the 48th Ohio Regiment. In one of the battles of this war the sight in both eyes was destroyed and since that time he lived upon a liberal government pension. Mr. Butler was twice married. His second wife, whose name before marriage was Hughes, survives him. For 17 years Mr. Butler was a resident of the city and because of his infirmity was well known to many persons. He belonged to Bishop Post no. 22, which organization will attend the funeral in body. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 in the Baptist Church. Rev. A.B. Murphy will officiate.
