Description	:	OBIT: John Bynon Roberts, 84, a pioneer of the Pacific Northwest and longtime and widely-known Kitttias County resident, died early this morning at the Ellensburg General Hospital. In ill health for the past year, he entered the hospital last week. He was born February 21, 1870 in Missouri and traveled by ox wagon to California with his parents when he was a boy. Read More	OBIT: John Bynon Roberts, 84, a pioneer of the Pacific Northwest and longtime and widely-known Kitttias County resident, died early this morning at the Ellensburg General Hospital. In ill health for the past year, he entered the hospital last week. He was born February 21, 1870 in Missouri and traveled by ox wagon to California with his parents when he was a boy. He lived in Oregon and at Black Diamond before coming to Kittitas County. Roberts operated a farm near Roza Dam for more than 40 years before coming to Ellensburg several years ago. He had been a member of the Masonic Lodge at Black Diamond for more than 50 years. His wife, Mrs. Mary Ann Roberts, preceded him in death at Ellensburg, August 16, 1951. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lura (Mickey) Mundy, Ellensburg; two sons, Barney E. Roberts of Ellensburg and William Roberts of Pasco; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Biggs of Alaska and Mrs. Margaret Jones of Seattle and several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
