Highland Recorder December 4, 1925 Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Harold have come to take care of Geo. H. Brock’s property this winter - Mr - Brock and family have gone to Monterey for the benefit of school. Highland Recorder January 8, 1932 Mr. J. C. Harold, more familiarly known as “Doc” by his more intimate friends, a prominent and highly respected farmer-citizen of Naples, died at his home December 23rd Mr. Herold had been in declining health for some time and had been confined to his bed for several weeks. He was seventy-two years of age; for a number of years had been a resident of Meadow Dale until fire claimed his home there several years ago. Mr. Herold had been an active and consistent member of Pisgah Presbyterian church for years. The deceased is survived by three sons; Roscoe of Monterey, Robert of Naples and William of Maryland and a host of friends. His wife had preceded him to the grave by several years. The funeral service was conducted December 24th from Fairview church by Rev. A. E. Johnson, assisted by Rev G. F. Houck and interment took place in the adjoining cemetery
