Kizer, first child of George and Elizabeth Kizer, was born June 1, 1849 on a fam in Henry County, and departed this life at Odd Fellows Home, Greensburg, Indiana, at 9 A.M. on Friday, March 15, 1918, having lived 68 years, 9 months and 15 days. He was united in marriage on March 18, 189, with Louisa Jane Waltz, of Wayne County, she preceding him in death on the 14th day of May, 1917, in Scott County. To this union was born three children, Leroy Ollie and Opal. Leroy preceded him in death on the 21st day of June, 1909, at Atlanta, Indiana, Ollie, of Hagerstown, Indiana, and Opal, of Scottsburg, Indiana, also three grand children survive him. He had two sisters and three brothers, one brother, James, yet living. He lived and died a Christian, having acknowledged his Savior. He united himself with the Christian church while living in Tipton County, Indiana, in 1887. He leaves a large number of relatives and a large number of friends, many of whom are present today in memory of and to mourn his death. A TRIBUTE TO FATHER Oh! death father, we are lonely Since you left us, passed away, But loving memory of you guides us Thru life on our sorrowing way. We are weary with longing, We are weary with tears, And our hearts will be weary These long future years.
