John Carroll Pommrehn was born June 2, 1951 in Iowa Falls, Iowa to Don and Darlene Pommrehn. He graduated from the Iowa Falls High School and attended Iowa Central Community College. On November 9, 1973 John was united in marriage to Vicki Ranney at the First United Methodist Church in Iowa Falls. He faithfully served in the Army National Guard from August 10, 1970 until 1974. John Carroll Pommrehn was born June 2, 1951 in Iowa Falls, Iowa to Don and Darlene Pommrehn. He graduated from the Iowa Falls High School and attended Iowa Central Community College. On November 9, 1973 John was united in marriage to Vicki Ranney at the First United Methodist Church in Iowa Falls. He faithfully served in the Army National Guard from August 10, 1970 until 1974. He spent many years on the Iowa Falls Ambulance assisting others in need. Most recently he was employed as a feed delivery specialist with Gold-Eagle Co-op. He will always be remembered as a very dedicated worker. Family was always number one to John. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren in all of their activities. He liked the simple things in life, boating and camping to name a few. John lost a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Mayo Clinic in Rochester with his loving family by his side. He never complained, fighting hard until the end. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. John was preceded in death by his mother, Darlene Pommrehn. Funeral services will be 10:30 am Monday, June 8, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church in Iowa Falls. Burial will be at the Northlawn Memory Gardens.
