Description	:	Biography excerpt: John McGrew, Muscatine; born in Montgomery Co., Ohio, in 1815; his parents, William and Charlotte McGrew, were early settlers of Montgomery Co.; they removed to Wayne Co. Ind., about 1820, which continued to be their home until their death; they died of Cholera at the present home of their son John, while on a visit to their children in Iowa, in 1851. Read More	Biography excerpt: John McGrew, Muscatine; born in Montgomery Co., Ohio, in 1815; his parents, William and Charlotte McGrew, were early settlers of Montgomery Co.; they removed to Wayne Co. He married, in 1836, Lydia A Willetts (died around the same time as his parents), a native of Mercer Co., Ill.; and they he had eight children together, four still living: Araminta (now Mrs. S. Vanetta), Almira (now Mrs. Henry Miller), Lydia A. (now Mrs. Jesse Kerr). He remarried in 1853 to Louisa Adams of Iowa City, having one child by second marriage: Ida (now Mrs. Harris Willetts).
