Egner, at the age of 63 years, following an illness of about two months. Mr. Egner was born in Germany and came to Bridgewater about thirty-eight years ago where he has since resided and as a citizen of the town was held in high esteem. Egner, at the age of 63 years, following an illness of about two months. Mr. Egner was born in Germany and came to Bridgewater about thirty-eight years ago where he has since resided and as a citizen of the town was held in high esteem. He was twice married, his first wife being Miss Florence Frank, of Bridgewater, by whom there were three children, two sons and a daughter, (the latter died in infancy). A son Fred was killed in the Great War and another son, Jack, died at the Nova Scotia Sanitorium a few years after his return from overseas. He is survived by his widow, formerly Miss Roxana Hebb, also two grandchildren, of whom he was very fond. For a number of years, the late Mr. Egner was employed in the freight department of the C.N. Railways. Much sympathy is expressed for the bereaved relatives. The funeral was held on Thursday afternoon from his late residence. In the absence of Pastor, Rev. C.H. Whitteker of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, of which the deceased was a member, the services were conducted by Rev. H.N. Lossing. The Bridgewater Fire Department attended the funeral in a body and the pall bearers were members of the Department. Interment was made in Brookside Cemetery.
