Whereas, It has pleased Almighty God to remove from our midst, our much esteemed Brother John Collins and Whereas, by this visitation of Divine Providence we are deprived of the society and counsel of our Brother, we deem it proper and just to give an expression of our feelings on the occasion of this bereavement. Therefore, be it Resolved, That we bow with submission to the Divine will and believe, as our departed Brother expressed himself, that our Heavenly Father doeth all things well. Resolved, That Chosen Friends' Hall be draped in mourning for thirty days and that these resolutions be published in the Highland News and a copy of the same be transmitted to the family of the deceased by the Secretary.
