Newton Cowan and wife, Carrie of Greensboro; grandchildren, Jenkins, Bo and Raleigh Cowan, Christian and Haynes Hicks and Mary Mac and Ellie Cowan; his brother, Dr. Bob Cowan and wife, Caroline of Winston-Salem; nieces, Carol Morris and Barbara Scott; 2 great-nephews and 2 great-nieces. A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday March 25, 2017 at Christ Episcopal Church with The Reverend Marty Hedgpeth officiating. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Gifts may be made to Christ Episcopal Church 1412 Providence Rd. Charlotte, NC 28207. Robertson Funeral & Cremation Service is serving the family www.throbertson.com.
