Father's name was John. ———. ——- ———- The Nashua Reporter (Nashua, Iowa) JOHN CRAPSER SUMMONED Respected Citizen of Nashua for Many Years Passed Away Monday After Lingering Illness John Crapser, a well-known and respected citizen of this community for many years, passed away at his home in this city Monday after an illness extending over several months. Decedent, for many years, was one of the leading farmers of this community. A few years ago, he retired from active life and with his family moved to Nashua. John Crapser was born in Montreal, Canada, December 27, 1849, and died February 4, 1918, at Nashua, Iowa, being a little over 69 years of age. At the age of 5 he moved with his parents to Hogansburg, Franklin County, New York. December 7, 1871, he was united in marriage to Alice Quinell and the new home was established in North Lawrence, where Mr. Crapser engaged in the lumber business. In the year 1879, they moved to Iowa where they have since resided. He leaves to mourn his loss the following children: Mrs. Nettie Bates, Charles City; Mrs. Max Kepple and Miss Ina Crapser of this city. Two children preceded him to the other world, Gird M. Crapser and John H. Crapser. Mr. Crapser had been ailing for a long time and the end came peacefully. He fell asleep and the awakening was in another world. Funeral services were held at the home Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. Rev. H. D. Green officiating. Burial was at Greenwood. Contributor: Hooked On Family (47448897) •
