Mrs. Sarah A. Cropper, 85, died 6:30 a.m. Friday at her home 7 miles southwest of Norfolk. The funeral will be held Monday with burial in Alberry cemetery. Mrs. Sarah A. Cropper, 85, died 6:30 a.m. Friday at her home 7 miles southwest of Norfolk. The funeral will be held Monday with burial in Alberry cemetery. Sarah Ann Cates was born March 7, 1837 at Chelsea, Vermont. She was married in 1857 to John Cropper. They had 7 children born to them and 4 of them preceded her in death namely: Lydia C., Louis C., Albert H., Frank G. She was survived by her other sons and daughters: Edmund H. at Norfolk, Charles N. at Maryvale, Utah; Mrs. H. J. Morris at Norfolk; 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1874. The funeral was held Sunday at the home of her son Edmund H. Cropper. Note that in the Friday's paper it was given Monday for the funeral but in the Saturday's paper it was found to be changed to Sunday. In the paper for Monday it stated the funeral was held Sunday. --------------- Edmund H. Cropper, 85, died 9:15 p.m. Tuesday in Norfolk. He was born May 11, 1862 at Lawrence, Massachusetts to Mr. and Mrs. John Cropper. At the age of 8 he came with his parents to Omaha and in 1873 they came to the Warnerville community. His father died in 1874. He was the second oldest in a family of 11 children. He never married. In 1876 he lost a foot in a mowing machine accident. He was survived by 1 sister Mrs. H. J. Morris near Norfolk, 4 nieces, 5 nephews. He was preceded in death by 1 sister, 4 brothers. The funeral was held Friday with burial in Allberry cemetery.
