Description	:	John Deal a resident of Wabash County for over fifty years, quietly passed away at his home. North Miami Street, Sunday morning at 6:10 o'clock. Mr. Deal has been confined to his bed for two weeks as a result of a stroke of paralysis, which he received on the first of July. On the morning of July first Mr. Deal was mowing weeds on his property on Manchester Avenue immediately opposite the Champion Auto Equipment Company, when the fatal stroke came. Mr. Deal has been confined to his bed for two weeks as a result of a stroke of paralysis, which he received on the first of July. On the morning of July first Mr. Deal was mowing weeds on his property on Manchester Avenue immediately opposite the Champion Auto Equipment Company, when the fatal stroke came. From that time until his demise Sunday morning he had been in a semi-conscious condition and was unable to speak. The deceased was born in Ohio near the city of Dayton where he lived until he attained the age of sixteen when he with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Deal moved to Wabash County where he resided until his death. When first moving to the county they settled on a farm a few miles south of this city. After living in this county five years he was united in marriage to Miss Martha Ogen, who died six years ago, while they were living on Comstoel Street. Two children Mrs. Alvah Bright and J. A. Deal were born to this union. Three years after the death of his first wife he again entered the bonds of matrimony and was married to Miss Sabrina Knight, May 12th, 1903. For the past eighteen years Mr. Deal has been a member of the Christian Church and up until the time of the fatal stroke was a regular attendant and always had active part in the church affairs. Also Mr. Deal has been a consistent member of the Odd Fellows fraternal organization for the past twenty years and a place hard to fill will be left vacant by his death. The deceased leaves to morn, his wife, two children, Mrs. Alvah Bright living two miles north of I.agro, and one son Dan A. Deal of Long Beach, California. The funeral services will be held from the residence on north Miami Street, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Jaynes, assisted by Rev. C'harles Little will have charge of the ceremonies. Interment will be made in the Ogen cemetery six miles nonth of this city in the Vernon pike, Friends may view the remains anytime Monday. Wabash Daily Plain Dealer Monday July 17, 1916
