He was born Dec. 2, 1950 in Lincoln, to Burdette and Lavon (Dean) Bennett. He was a fuel truck driver for Midwest Farmer’s Cooperative and a former mechanic for LT&T for 35 years. He was a member of Camp Creek Threshers and International Harvester (IH) Tractor Club. He was a car enthusiast, loved attending auctions and collected and restored antique tractors. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy, and his mother. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Cedar Hill Methodist Church, 22501 N. 162nd St., Greenwood. Visitation, Monday, 2 to 8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Roper & Sons Funeral Services, 4300 “O” St. in Lincoln. Memorials to the church.
