Description	:	John Edward Davies, son of William and Martha Ellen Davies, was born October 9, 1879, at Tobias, Neb. He departed this life at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Lincoln, Neb., Tuesday, July 20, 1943, following an operation and subsequent complications. Mr. Davies grew to manhood in his home community. April 12, 1905, he was united in marriage to Emma C. Peterson of Villard, Minn. They made their home on a farm near Geneva until 1932, when they moved to their present home near Grafton. Read More	John Edward Davies, son of William and Martha Ellen Davies, was born October 9, 1879, at Tobias, Neb. He departed this life at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Lincoln, Neb., Tuesday, July 20, 1943, following an operation and subsequent complications. Mr. Davies grew to manhood in his home community. April 12, 1905, he was united in marriage to Emma C. Peterson of Villard, Minn. They made their home on a farm near Geneva until 1932, when they moved to their present home near Grafton. His kindly disposition endeared him to all his associates. he was preceded in death by his parents and only brother William. He leaves to mourn his departure his faithful wife, two sisters, Mrs. Charles Crays of Tobias and Mrs. E. J. Delaney of Plattsmouth, Neb., and numerous nephews and nieces, as well as a host of neighbors and friends. Mr. Davies made his profession of faith, was baptized and received his first holy communion at St. Elizabeth's Hospital at his request. Funeral services were conducted from St. Helena's Church, Grafton, Thursday morning, July 22. Interment was in the Exeter Cemetery. The Nebraska Signal July 1943.
