Description	:	Obituary Battle Creek Enquirer Sunday December 6 1953 John Koons died in Marengo Twp late Saturday afternoon after an illness extending over a period of years. A native of Orland Ind where he was born Dec 29 1869 he had resided in the Homer area more than 60 years. He was the son of John Koons. His marriage to Miss Mertie Thomas survives was solemized Sept 24 1894, and the couple has resided in the Homer area since.
