Description	:	John Erickson was born near Stavanger, Norway, on Aug. 31, 1888. He suffered a heart attack and after one week of illness passed away Mar. 5, 1960, at the age of 71 years, 5 months and 5 days. He was baptized and confirmed in a Lutheran church in Norway. In 1905 he came to America, and made his home with a sister in Parker, while working for the railroad. Read More	John Erickson was born near Stavanger, Norway, on Aug. 31, 1888. He suffered a heart attack and after one week of illness passed away Mar. 5, 1960, at the age of 71 years, 5 months and 5 days. He was baptized and confirmed in a Lutheran church in Norway. In 1905 he came to America, and made his home with a sister in Parker, while working for the railroad. In 1914, Apr. 29th, he was united in marriage to Ulda Jensen, at the Bethany Lutheran Church of Hurley, in which church they retained their membership. They resided in Parker where he did carpenter work until 1925, when they moved to a farm in Norway township. To this union five sons and one daughter were born. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, his son Edwin, and his wife Ulda. In January 1941 he left the farm and went back to the carpenter trade, making his home in San Francisco, CA. In August, 1951, he was united in marriage to Margery Fleckles of San Francisco, CA. He retired form work in 1958. He leaves to mourn his passing his widow of San Francisco, four sons, Clarence of Indianapolis, IN; John of Parker, SD, Norman and Robert of Chicago, IL, and one daughter, Dorothy Ann (Mrs. Robert Harum) of Copenhagen, Denmark; twelve grandchildren, one brother, and one sister in Norway, and one sister in the Netherlands.
