Mr. McCracken was born in Conway, South Carolina, a son of the late William Joseph and Dora Todd McCracken. He attended Mt. Trolly Free Will Baptist Church in Galivants Ferry and was a retired farmer. Mr. McCracken was preceded in death by four brothers, Jody McCracken, Willie McCracken, Herbert McCracken and Harold B. McCracken; and two sisters, Mary Pearl Johnson and Viola Johnson Surviving are two sons, Eddie McCracken and wife, Kathy, of Galivants Ferry, and Rodney McCracken and wife, Gayla, of Galivants Ferry; two daughters, Kathy Richardson and husband, Randall, of Galivants Ferry, and Lorrie McCracken, also of Galivants Ferry; seven grandchildren, Joey McCracken and wife, Tammy, Ryan McCracken, Shana Dix and husband, Kelly, Jessica McCracken, Brandon Richardson, Logan Richardson, and Seth Richardson; and four great-grandchildren, Amber Collins, Blake Collins, Hailey Peavy, and Cody McCracken. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, December 24, 2009 at Mt. Trolly Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Marty Cox, the Rev. Earl Nobles, and the Rev. Larry Johnson officiating.
