Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with the Rev. Raymond Blake officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Dyersville. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a wake service at 4:30 p.m. Mr. Boulting worked for the Illinois Central Railroad for 34 years, until his retirement in 1985. He was born on April 17, 1930, in Dyersville, son of Floyd E. and Margie (Niday) Boulting. He married Mary A. Hanfelt on Feb. 23, 1949, in Epworth. He received his education in the Peosta-area schools. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Parish, Dyersville, and a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees 1393. Surviving are his wife, Mary A. Boulting, of Dyersville; four children, Carol (Donald) Martin, of Dubuque, Stephen (Jeanne) Boulting, of Dubuque, Diana (Leonard) Ollendick, of Dyersville, and David Boulting, of Dyersville; seven grandchildren, Lisa and Jody Martin, Brian and Craig Boulting, Jennifer (Scherbring), Matthew and Michael Ollendick; a great-grandchild, Brittney; a sister, Darlene (Ken) Wieseler Sr., of Dubuque; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. A John F. Boulting Memorial Fund has been established. The family of John would like to thank Dr. Kukla, Hospice of Dubuque, especially Bonnie and Jennifer.
