Description	:	John Floyd Flanigan Obit John Floyd Flanigan, 69, of Seward, was killed in a car-truck collision on Thursday, Sept. 1, at the intersection of 132nd and Center streets west of Omaha. At the time of the accident, Flanigan was driving a pickup truck and had as a passenger Gerald Buls, 17, also of Seward. Buls was injured in the crash. Flanigan was born May 26, 1891, at Beaver Crossing, the son of Frank and Marcella Flanigan. He married Leona Pearl Trively, who preceded him in death Sept. 5, 1956. Mr. Flanigan engaged in farming the earlier part of his life. He then became a restaurateur in Red Oak, Iowa, for 12 years; and later became a carnival concessionaire. He spent the remaining years of his life, about 35 years, in this occupation. He is survived by a daughter, Bernadine, and his son-in-law, Robert D. Crampton of San Diego, Calif.; and a sister, Grace Hornady in Canada. Funeral services were held Sept. 6 at Wood Bros, chapel in Seward for Mr. Flanigan. Rev. Ernest B. Stewart of Beaver Crossing officiated. Soloist was Mrs. Albert Ebers, and Mrs. Helen Anderson was organist. Pallbearers at the funeral services were Albert Navratil, Martin Schaefer, Ed Goehner, Francis Clark, Lee Berry, and C. J. Geiger. Burial was in the Beaver Crossing cemetery.
