| Description | : | John Darcy was a foreman for the United Electric Railways. As a conductor he teamed with Motorman Patrick Connors for years on trolley lines running through East Providence. Thousands knew him as his service extended to the earlier years when horse cars were the latest in street railway vehicles. During the latter years of his 36 years of service, he was superintendent of the Traverse street car bar. He retired in 1927. He was a resident of East Providence for 49 years.
