Description	:	John F. Myers, 72, died Tuesday, April 27, 2004, at St. Luke's Hospital from a sudden illness. Services: 2 p.m. Friday, Shueyville United Methodist Church, by the Rev. Tom Carver. Burial: Shueyville Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today, at Brosh Chapel, Cedar Rapids, and for an hour prior to services Friday at the church. He was born June 17, 1931, in Fort Madison, the son of John and Maxine Rudd Myers. He married Peggy Johnson, June 2, 1957, in Colusa, Ill. He worked for over 27 years at FMC Linkbelt, then Cedar Rapids Inc., and, after retirement, part-time as a security guard for Per Mar Security. He was U.S. Navy veteran serving in the Korean War. John and his wife were host families for Kirkwood College for 13 years. He was also a very avid Hawkeye fan. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Barbara (Michael) Schulte of Walford and Sharon (Brad) Paulsen of Anamosa; five grandchildren, Nicholas and Morgan Johnson, Jaycee Schulte, Maisie and Ethan Paulsen; two brothers, Robert and Eugene Myers, both of Fort Madison; and two sisters, Betty Cain of Montrose and Joan (Wilbur) Neil of Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a mother-in-law, Phyllis Johnson.
