The deceased was born in Washington County, Pennsylvania, January 9, 1859, and had just passed his 38th milestone at the time of his death. He located in Forbes township in 1878, beginning his farming life in the employ Bee Poynter. He was married to Nancy, daughter of Josiah and Elizabeth Carroll, in December, 1879, and at the time of his death was farming the old Honnen farm some seven miles southeast of this city. The deceased was born in Washington County, Pennsylvania, January 9, 1859, and had just passed his 38th milestone at the time of his death. He located in Forbes township in 1878, beginning his farming life in the employ Bee Poynter. He was married to Nancy, daughter of Josiah and Elizabeth Carroll, in December, 1879, and at the time of his death was farming the old Honnen farm some seven miles southeast of this city. Eight children were born of this union, seven of whom, with their mother survive. His remains were laid to rest in the Highland cemetery on Saturday, the 16th inst., Rev. Sawyers, of the Presbyterian Church, officiating.
