W. and Margaret Harris, was born in Johnson county, near Iowa City, August 23, 1861, and died in the state hospital at Clarinda, Iowa, July 25, 1923, at the age of sixty-two years. W. and Margaret Harris, was born in Johnson county, near Iowa City, August 23, 1861, and died in the state hospital at Clarinda, Iowa, July 25, 1923, at the age of sixty-two years. With the exception of a few years spent in Kansas, he lived his life in Iowa. He united with the Church of Christ at New Virginia, Iowa a number of years ago. Frank loved his home and home folks and neighbors, and those who knew him best will miss him very much. His grief over the death of his father and mother only a few months ago, weakened and wearied him more than he was able to endure, blood poisoning hastened the end. A brother, Jim, and a nephew, Vernon, were with him when the end came. Frank was the eldest of seven children. The four brothers and two sisters surviving him are W. P., C. S., Maude, J. E., and J. M. all of new Virginia and Mrs. Ida Wilson of Red oak, Iowa. All of these were present at the funeral services which were conducted from the Fremont church, about seven miles north of Osceola by Rev. LeRoy Munyon, pastor of the Osceola Christian church. Interment was made in the beautiful cemetery beside the above mentioned church. A large circle of friends and neighbors gathered for the funeral services and many were the expressions of sympathy and love received by the family. Excellent music for the service was rendered by a choir composed of immediate friends of the deceased.
