John Frederwick Wilhelm Weber was born January 14, 1968 in Blackheim, Germany and received Christian Baptism on the 26th of January of the same year. His parents were, Christopher Weber and Marie nee Spilker. Following the usual religious instructions in Christian droctines (sic) he was confirmed on Palm Sunday, 1882. In 1883 he came to America, finding work at the Soap Creek near DeWitt, Nebr. Here he was married to Caroline Rahe Feb. 11, 1891. Four children, three daughters and a son were born to them. Their son died in tender infancy and one daughter, Sophie Kuhlmann preceded him in death but five months ago. In 1901 they settled on a farm north of Byron. He was a charter member of St. Paul's Lutheran Congregation. In 1918 he secured a home in Byron, where he spent most of his years since. Mr. Weber died just six days before his eightieth birthday. He is survived by his faithful wife, his daughters Lena Dankenbring and Marie Ropers, three sons-in-law, six grand children, four great grand children and one brother and two sisters in Germany. Funeral services were held at St. Pauls' (sic) Church, Byron. Interment was made in the parish cemetary (sic).
