Suhr, 91, of Fremont, formerly of the Scribner area, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont. He died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2002, at Arbor Manor in Fremont. He was born May 19, 1910, in Cuming County to John and Anna (Tonjes) Suhr. He was baptized Sept. 18, 1910, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Pender, and confirmed in that church April 5, 1925. He grew up near Pender on the farm. He married Loris Kroeger Sept. 7, 1937. They lived in Pender the first five years of their marriage, then in 1942 moved to Scribner, where he farmed for many years. After retiring from farming, he worked for the Good Samaritan Home in Scribner. His wife, Loris, died Aug. 4, 1987. He moved to Fremont in 1988. He married Ruth Rabe June 18, 1988, and she preceded him in death Dec. 2, 1991. He had been a longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Hooper, and was currently a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont. Survivors include: his daughter, Joan (Mrs. Dennis) Wittmann of Auburn; three granddaughters, Amy (Mrs. Mike) Koski of Kearney, Jill (Mrs. Robert) Roxas of Omaha and Kristin (Mrs. Roan) Howard of Kearney; a grandson, Zachary Wittmann of Auburn; three great- grandchildren, Emily and Ryan Koski of Kearney and Spencer Roxas of Omaha; a sister, Alma English of Sioux City, Iowa; and a special friend, Geraldine Luecking. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Henry Suhr. The Rev. Timothy Gierke will officiate Saturday's service. Visitation will be 1-9 tonight at Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont with family receiving friends from 6:30-8 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to service time Saturday at the church. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery north of Hooper. Memorials are suggested to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and to The Lutheran Hour.hhw
