John Mullendore, aged 59 years, 11 months and 11 days. John Mullendore was born in Bartholemew county, Indiana, July 23, 1847. He was married when 18 years of age to Mary E. Robinson, and to this union were born 13 children, of which number seven survive him. John Mullendore, aged 59 years, 11 months and 11 days. John Mullendore was born in Bartholemew county, Indiana, July 23, 1847. He was married when 18 years of age to Mary E. Robinson, and to this union were born 13 children, of which number seven survive him. They moved to Johnson county, Indiana, they lived until 1882, when they moved to Elk County, Kansas, and where they lived happily together until his wife died and left him with four small boys to care for, which he did with great credit to himself. Until about ten years ago he was one of the most active stockmen and farmers in the county, when he was stricken with an incurable disease, and though a great sufferer, he suffered like a brave man. He was a member of no church but he learned to look to a higher life, and always made liberal donations to the cause of Christianity. Funeral services were conducted at the home of D.D.
