Jones, a former resident of Lafayette Township, four miles north of New Albany, who died Saturday [May 27, 1916] at the home of his son, Martin Jones, at Denison, TX, will arrive in New Albany this morning It will be taken to the home of his son, Arthur Jones, in Lafayette Township, and funeral services will be held at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church, of which Mr. Jones long was a member, at 9 o'clock tomorrow morning. Mr. Jones was 85 years old, and was born on the farm which he sold four years ago to move to Texas. The farm, which had belonged to his father and before that to his grandfather, had been in his family for more than 100 years His wife died a number of years ago, and he is survived by four sons, Martin, Arthur Jones, of Lafayette Township; Edward L. Jones, of Bedford; and David E. Jones, of New Albany; and a daughter, Mrs. Edward Receiver, of Lafayette Township. He also is survived by a sister, Mrs. Belle Kelly, of Oakland, CA.
