Description	:	According to his death certificate; JOHN HENRY LOHR was born January 27, 1871 and died at the age of 71 years, 3 months, 29 days of a Coronary on May 26, 1942. He can be found with his parents and sibling at the age of 10 in 1880 census year, living in Pulaski County. He worked as a Track Foreman for the Railroad that ran through Darlington, Indiana which was called the Vandalia Line. It still runs but under the name of Pennsylvania Railroad. Read More	According to his death certificate; JOHN HENRY LOHR was born January 27, 1871 and died at the age of 71 years, 3 months, 29 days of a Coronary on May 26, 1942. He can be found with his parents and sibling at the age of 10 in 1880 census year, living in Pulaski County. He worked as a Track Foreman for the Railroad that ran through Darlington, Indiana which was called the Vandalia Line. It still runs but under the name of Pennsylvania Railroad. He later retired and moved to Rosedale where he worked as Laborer on Farms. He married June 13, 1897 in Pulaski County, Indiana to Josephine Peterson. According to the 1910 census, Josie stated she was the mother of EIGHT children, TWO are living. H. Lohr, 71, retired railroad man, passed away at 11:20 last Tuesday night at his home in Rosedale. Heart trouble was given as the cause for his death. The deceased was born in Chicago on Jan. 27, 1871, the son of Martin and Martha Anna Lohr. He had resided in Parke couty since 1913. He was in the railroad business for thirty-four years, retiring several years ago because of failing health. Besides the widow, Josephine, he is survivied by three daughters, Mrs. William Jarvis of Middletown, Ohio; Mrs. Clara Yowell and Mrs. Harold Hartman, both of Rosedale, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral rites were held at the residence at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, with the Rev. Siefered officiating. Burial was in Rosedale cemetery.
