He attained the age of 67 years, seven months and ten days. J. Harley Miller was born on the home farm located southeast of Lennox, SD, on Aug. 15, 1926, the son of Al Joe and Anna (Osterloo) Miller. He attended Miller School and grew up in that community. On Jun. 1, 1947, he was united in marriage to Marjorie Tripp in Sioux Falls. They lived near Lennox and he farmed the home farm his entire life. He was preceded in death by his father on Sep. 6, 1960, and his mother on Aug. 16, 1970. Grateful for having shared his life are his widow: Marge; two sons: Patrick Miller and his wife Deborah of Lennox, and Michael Miller, at home; two daughters: Gail Austin and her husband Steven of Garretson, and Sandra DeVries and her husband Larry of Lennox; six grandchildren: Michelle and April Austin, Melissa and Andrea DeVries, and Benjamin and Amanda Miller; four sisters: Alyce Zahn of Sioux Falls, Mrs. Harold (Anna Mae) Middough of Huron, Mrs. Joe (Evelyn) Holley of Rockford, IL., and Mrs. Delmar (Sally) Hyronimus of Worthing; his mother-in-law, Hazel Tripp of Sioux Falls; several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
