Description	:	John Harsche, 95, Bismarck, died Oct. 5, 2002, in the Mandan hospital. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Church of St. Anne, Bismarck, with the Rev. Ed Wehner officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck. John was born June 19, 1907, at Krasna, Odessa, the son of George and Barbara (Bachmeier) Harsche. At the age of two, his family immigrated to the United States and settled southwest of Shields, N.D., in Grant County. He was raised and attended schools there. At the age of two, his family immigrated to the United States and settled southwest of Shields, N.D., in Grant County. He was raised and attended schools there. He married Tillie Tishmack on Feb. 27, 1933, at St. Gabriel's Church in rural Shields. They farmed and ranched on the family homestead until his retirement in 1961. They then moved to Bismarck and John continued helping area ranchers. A true rancher, John always had an interest with the cattle and his horses. His horse, Julie, was a favorite. A big event that John loved was going on a trip by train to Sioux City, Iowa, to sell his livestock. An avid pool player throughout his life, John enjoyed playing in later years with his friends at the Senior Center. He was also quite a square dancer. John is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years, Tillie Harsche, Bismarck; two daughters and one son-in-law, Marie and Jim Schafer, Minneapolis, and Claudia Harsche, Portland, Ore.; five sons and daughters-in-law, Englebert and Darlene Harsche, Shields, Mike and Florence Harsche, Lincoln, Richard and Madi Harsche, Dickinson, David and Deb Harsche, Killdeer, and Leland John and Lory Harsche, Bismarck; 16 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
