Description	:	Ref: John Hartzel Cramer was born in Trumbull county, Ohio, February 19, 1842 and died December 1, 1918 at the home of Samuel Milroy in Hazel Green township. In the year of 1865 he came to Iowa and made this his home since that time. On October 4, 1880, he was untied in marriage to Miss Mary Ellen Creel of Jones county. Soon after marriage they moved to Buck Creek community and lived there until death claimed them. Mrs. Cramer's death occurred February 28, 1912. Read More	Ref: John Hartzel Cramer was born in Trumbull county, Ohio, February 19, 1842 and died December 1, 1918 at the home of Samuel Milroy in Hazel Green township. In the year of 1865 he came to Iowa and made this his home since that time. On October 4, 1880, he was untied in marriage to Miss Mary Ellen Creel of Jones county. Soon after marriage they moved to Buck Creek community and lived there until death claimed them. Mrs. Cramer's death occurred February 28, 1912. Since that time Mr. Cramer has made his home with Mr. Samuel Milroy. He leaves to mourn his loss a brother, Cline of Cleveland, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. J. C. Gilchrist and Miss Matilda Cramer, both of Pocahontas, and nieces and nephews and many friends. Mr. Cramer united with the Buck Creek church on November 26, 1911. Soon after this he was elected as trustee of the Buck Creek Church, which position he faithfully filled until his death. The life of Mr. Cramer in the church was one of usefulness. Only pleasant memories attend his departure because of his consistent life as a follower of the Savior. His last evening was spent in the family library reading and discussing the topics of the day. Especially was he grateful that the armistice had been signed. Only pleasant memories follow him from the home and the church.
