Born June 17, 1891, in Bridgewater, he was the son of James Harvey and Sarah Miller Evers. He was a member of Church of God on Campbell Avenue and was employed by Lynchburg-Westover Dairies, Inc., for the past 15 years. He was the husband of the late Lomie Lee Evers.
