Description	:	John Henry Buck Stallings Sr., 89, of 1775 Old Norlina Road, Henderson, NC died Monday, November 12, 2018 at his home. Born in Vance County, he was the son of the late Henry Holland and Florence Jarrells Stallings. Mr. Stallings was owner and operator of Bucks Coin. He was a member of Westwood Pentecostal Holiness Church, having joined at the age of sixteen, and was a twenty-eight year member of the Vance County Rescue Squad. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 16, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., at Westwood Pentecostal Holiness Church, conducted by Pastor Phil Collins.... He was a member of Westwood Pentecostal Holiness Church, having joined at the age of sixteen, and was a twenty-eight year member of the Vance County Rescue Squad. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 16, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., at Westwood Pentecostal Holiness Church, conducted by Pastor Phil Collins. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens. Surviving are his wife of sixty-seven years, Nell Carter Stallings; two daughters, Becky S. Denton (Terry) and Cindy D. Stallings; two sons, John H. Stallings Jr. (Kathy) and Ricky N. Stallings (Robin); two grandchildren, Ashley D. Speed (Ryan) and Jonathan A. Stallings (Ashley); a great-grandson, Jacob A. Stallings; and a special niece, Melinda Thomas. He was preceded in death by six sisters. The family will receive friends Thursday, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., at Flowers Funeral Home. All other times they will be at the home. Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Pegram, Charles Wilson, Randy Puckett, Steve Manning, Donald Matthews, Lee Jordan, Norman Haithcock and Billy Reams. The Vance County Rescue Squad will serve as honorary pallbearers. Flowers will be accepted; or memorials may be made to Westwood Pentecostal Holiness Church, P.O. Box 2152, Henderson, NC 27536 or to Community Home Care and Hospice, 152 Zeb Robinson Road, Henderson, NC 27537. Arrangements are by Flowers Funeral Home.
