Description	:	John Henry Bultena was the oldest child of H.G. and Gesina Bultena. He was born on March 04, 1894 in Lennox and spent most of his life there. He worked as a bookkeeper, first at the Bank of Chancellor and then the Lennox Exchange Bank. In May 1918, he enlisted in the US Army, serving with Battery D, 337th Field Artillery Unit fighting in France. He was discharged in January 1919 and returned to Lennox. John resumed his position at the Lennox Exchange Bank and remained there until 1927. He later worked as a bookkeeper... Read More	John Henry Bultena was the oldest child of H.G. and Gesina Bultena. He was born on March 04, 1894 in Lennox and spent most of his life there. He worked as a bookkeeper, first at the Bank of Chancellor and then the Lennox Exchange Bank. In May 1918, he enlisted in the US Army, serving with Battery D, 337th Field Artillery Unit fighting in France. He was discharged in January 1919 and returned to Lennox. John resumed his position at the Lennox Exchange Bank and remained there until 1927. He later worked as a bookkeeper for the Sioux City Seed Co. John inherited much musical talent from his Father. He was an accomplished pianist and also played a number of other instruments. For several years, he was a member of the Lennox band. John died unexpectedly on October 10, 1938 in Lennox. He was buried with military rites in the Lennox Cemetery.
