Description	:	John Henry Dresen, son of Henry and Elizabeth Dresen, was born December 29, 1880, near Westphalia. He was the youngest of eight children, five sisters and two brothers, who all preceded him in death. He was married to Rose S. Gollobit at St. Joseph's church at Earling, with the Rev. Hummert officiating at the ceremony, on November 27, 1902. The beloved couple would have celebrated their 50th anniversary this November. He had spent his lifetime on a farm near Westphalia and was a faithful member of the St. Joseph's parish. Funeral services for John were held Saturday morning at St. Joseph's church at Earling with the Rev. Peter A. Bissen officiating at the Requiem High Mass. Interment was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Joseph Stoll Jr., John Bissen, Nick Kohl, Tony Frank, Henry Block and Herman Esser.
