Interment will be in the parish cemetery under the direction of Kircher-Dietrich Funeral home. Mr. Korwes was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Korwes. He was born on Nov. 4, 1870 at Guttenberg, Ia. He came to Carroll county with his parents when only a small child. They located on a farm near Roselle. On April 27, 1897, he was united in marriage to Miss Theresa Klocke at Templeton. They lived in that vicinity until 22 years ago when they moved to their home near Carroll. His father died two years ago and his mother had been dead a number of years. He is survived by his wife, a son, Leo Korwes, and a grandson, Edward. His son resides on the Korwes farm. Other survivors include a brother, Henry Korwes of Fonda and the following sisters, Mrs. Joe Jensen of Carroll, Mrs. Henry Lohman of Dedham, Mrs. Herman Meiners of Dedham, Mrs. Emma Fleddermann of Dedham, Mrs. Will Mueller of Coon Rapids, Mrs. Fred Wordekemper of Vail; and one sister-in-law, Mrs. Barney Korwes of Bayard.
