Description	:	John H. Moyle, son of Edward and Jane Moyle was born October 19, 1859, at Scales Mound, Jo Davis county, Illinois. At the age of four years, with his parents, he moved near Shalsburg, Wisconsin. Nine years later, the family moved to Strawberry Point, Clayton county, Iowa, where he grew to manhood. Moyle, son of Edward and Jane Moyle was born October 19, 1859, at Scales Mound, Jo Davis county, Illinois. At the age of four years, with his parents, he moved near Shalsburg, Wisconsin. Nine years later, the family moved to Strawberry Point, Clayton county, Iowa, where he grew to manhood. In 1888 he was united in marriage to Miss Lula Nichols. After their marriage, they resided at Lemars, Ia., for six years. In 1894 they moved to Tripp, S.D., where they purchased a farm near Eustis, Nebr., where they remained until the spring of 1917, when they moved to Lamont, Buchannan county, Ia. They remained there until 1919 when they sold their Iowa home and moved to the present home in Fairmont. His faithful wife and companion was called to her eternal rest three years ago, on May 23, 1938. Mr. and Mrs. Moyle were the parents of seven children; five girls and two boys: Mabel C. Franklin now of Buffalo, N.Y.; Blanche A. Svenson of Elwood; Ruby J. Lehman, who resided in Farimont, but died June 7th, 1929, Hazel N. Uhlig of Cozad; Gladys R. Imming of Marysville, Kan., Ralph E. Moyle of David City, and Chester A. Moyle of Fairmont. In addition to the six children who survive, there are also two sisters and three brothers: Mary Moser of Strawberry Point, Ia., Minnie Steele of Waterloo, Ia., Alfred A. Moyle of Scales Mound, Ill., James E. Moyle of Elkader, Ia., and Charlie A Moyle of Oelwein, Ia. There are also 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; many other friends and relatives. After a short illness, Mr. Moyle passed to his eternal rest from his earthly home September 23, 1941, having reached the age of 81 years, 11 months and 4 days. Brief services were held at the home at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon, followed by the regular funeral service at the Methodist church at 3:00 o'clock, the pastor Rev. R.W. Sandsted officiating. Duets were sung by Mrs. C.H. Little and Mrs. W.R. Dorrance, with Mrs. A.A. Ashby as accompanist. Interment was made in the family plot in the Fairmont cemetery. Pallbearers were: Frank Cubbison, Alex Perkins, John Armstrong, William V. Frazier, J.J. Clark and Charles A. Moore.
