Bowman, 84, retired farmer, died at the Timberville Old Folks Home yesterday morning at six o'clock following an illness from heart disease for several weeks. Mr. Bowman had been an inmate of the home for a year, coming there shortly after the death of his wife, Mrs. Victoria Bowman. He was the son of the late John and Catherine Hinegardner Bowman and was born near Timberville. Mr. Bowman had been an inmate of the home for a year, coming there shortly after the death of his wife, Mrs. Victoria Bowman. He was the son of the late John and Catherine Hinegardner Bowman and was born near Timberville. Mr. Bowman moved to the St. Luke section of Shenandoah county and lived there until the death of his wife. He had many friends in Rockingham and Shenandoah counties. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Eliza Miller, of Lost City, and Mrs. Asena May, of Bergton. The body will remain at the Rhodes Undertaking Home at Broadway until it is taken to Mathias for funeral services Tuesday. Services will be held at the Mathias Brethren Church at ten o'clock, the Rev. Lawrence Heltzel officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
