Rinehart John Hobert Rinehart, 75, a resident of Route 1, Audra Road, in Belington, and a lifelong resident of Belington, departed this life at 9:43 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2003, in the Barbour County Good Samaritan Center. Rinehart John Hobert Rinehart, 75, a resident of Route 1, Audra Road, in Belington, and a lifelong resident of Belington, departed this life at 9:43 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2003, in the Barbour County Good Samaritan Center. He had been in failing health for the past six months. He was born Sept. 7, 1927, at Belington, a son of the late Oris and Dorothy Kittle Rinehart. On Sept. 5, 1950, at the Concord United Methodist Church in Belington, he was united in marriage to the former Mardeen McCauley, who survives at their home in Belington. He is also survived by two sisters, Margaret Rinehart of the Good Samaritan Center in Belington, and Agnes Perks, Springfield, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Henry Rinehart. Mr. Rinehart attended the schools of Barbour County and graduated from electrical school in Illinois which enabled him to become a licensed electrician. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Italy for 17 months. Mr. Rinehart was widely known in the Belington area for his employment with the local cable company for 32 years, retiring from TCI Cable Co. in 1989. He was a member of the Concord United Methodist Church in Belington where he had attended for many years and served as trustee for many years. He will be remembered for one of his main ambitions in life which was to help someone else. Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home in Belington today from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sunday until 2 p.m., the funeral hour, when services will be conducted from the funeral home parlor with the Rev. Arden Beck officiating. Interment will follow in the Concord Cemetery in Belington where the presentation of the American flag will be presented by the American Legion Post 44 of Philippi. The Talbott Funeral Home in Belington is in charge of the arrangements for Mr. John Hobert Rinehart.
