Description	:	Last week Tuesday occurred the death of John Hoff Sr., at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. Sinnema at Orange City, at the age of 71 years and 10 months. He was born in the Netherlands. Twenty-seven years ago he came with his family to this country and settled down near Sioux Center. He also lived at Volga, South Dakota and at Perkins, Iowa. Twenty-seven years ago he came with his family to this country and settled down near Sioux Center. He also lived at Volga, South Dakota and at Perkins, Iowa. Thirteen years ago his first wife died, and later he married a sister of his former wife, who at present lives at Volga, South Dakota. The surving children of the first union are: Mrs. F. Cleveringa of Carmel, Mrs. M. Vreihof living in the Netherland, John Hoff jr. of Hull and Cornelius Hoff of Sioux Center. The funeral was held at the First Reformed church of Sioux Center, Rev. A. W. DeJonge assisted by Rev. F. Lubbers, officiated. Mr. Hoff, was, during the last years, a member of the First Reformed church of Hull. Sioux County Index 1913-11-07.
