England of Omaha, who died early yesterday morning at Clarkson Hospital there, are to be held at 2:30 Saturday afternoon at the Huffman Funeral home, where the body is remaining until the time of the rites. Mr. England, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John M. England, was born September 6, 1860, in Logan county, Illinois, where he spent his boyhood. He came to Carroll county in 1883 and farmed with his brother, J.U. England, for about eight years. His marriage to Miss Rose Bannister took place in Carroll February 23, 1891. After leaving Carroll, Mr. and Mrs. England farmed near Albion, Neb. for a few years, moving from there to Stanton, Neb., here Mr. England went into the photographic business. Later, he bought a drug store in Stanton, which he operated until 1907. Selling out the business at that time he spent a winter in Texas because of his health. Returning to Nebraska in 1908, Mr. and Mrs. England located at Omaha, where they have lived since then. Mr. England was in the real estate business there for 25 or 30 years. He had been retired in later years. Mr. and Mrs. England celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at their home in 1941. Survivors are his wife and his brother, J.U., who lives on a farm northwest of Carroll. An only sister, Mary England, died in 1924. Mrs. England arrived in Carroll yesterday and is at the J.U. England home.
