Description	:	Unmarked stone. Son of William J. and Amelia Pauline Akers Melson. He was married to Elizabeth Turner on Jan 20, 1870 and to Louella Denney about 1881. Her ame is on a stone in Bledsoe Cemetery in Creelsboro area but it doesn't actually say she's buried there. On Apr 25, 1902 he married Elizabeth Crouch in Adair County. Children with Elizabeth: William Washington Melson, Jun 10, 1872 to Nov 26, 1956, buried in Grant Cemetery in Crocus. Married Lula Grant. Clemmie J Melson born 1875, married William Brooks on Aug 6, 1892 in Adair County. The following year he married Ella Powell so Clemmie may have died by then. If she did she may be here too. I think he died in 1938 or 1939 and is buried in Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN. Mary Frances "Fannie" Melson born Sept 1876 to about 1916 She married Alvin Jefferson Pierce in 1899 in Adair County. In Nov 1916 he married Dora Ellen Bryant. He died Dec 9, 1946 and is buried in Freedom Cemetery in Adair County.They had a daughter born in 1899 and died in 1911 of diptheria. Her dc said she was buried in White Oak in Adair County. Alvin was married to Mary Bryant before he married Mary Frances next and then Dora E Bryant around 1915. Alvin had two children burn up in a barn fire in Nov 1914. One of them struck a match in some hay. I don't know which Mary was the mother to them. At least the one called Walter Ray was Fannie's and he was born in 1912 so Fannie was still alive then. He was only two when he burned up. The other child was four years old so that one was hers too. She was still alive then, I think because the article said the mother and Jeff were over at his father's house when this happened.
