| Description | : | John Vance Sr. 81, died Friday morning, July 14, 1985, at his home residence after a sudden illness. He was born May 9, 1914, in Bridgeport, Ct., the son of John and Theresa Vance. He served in the Army during WWII and in 1950 he moved to Vinton. In 1955 he married Iva Lee Abbott who preceded him in death in 1965. He worked for Vinton Crib & Silo and enjoyed rising and gardening in his spare time.
