Mrs. Harris suffered burns about the face, in an attempt to rescue the children, but her condition is not serious. The fire is believed to have started from a kerosene stove explosion, Coroner T. H. Jones said. Children Asleep The fire started while Mr. and Mrs. Harris were milking, about 6 o'clock. The children who lost their lives were a boy 9 years old and three girls, 4, 7, and 11. They were asleep in upstairs rooms when the blaze started and escape was cut off before they could be aroused. A 13-year-old girl saved the youngest child, a 2-year-old boy. Burns May Prove Fatal. It was in the rescue of the baby that she received burns that may prove fatal. The girl was brought to a hospital here by the coroner. Harris vainly tried to reach the trapped children. The family lived on the farm of Deputy Sheriff D. F. Hanson. **** The bodies of the four little victims will be buried at Linwood Park Cemetery, near Boone, on May 30, 1926. Condition of May Harris, eldest daughter, who with her mother and father and baby brother are the only surviving members of the family of eight, was said to be slightly improved today. The girl was badly burned before she escaped from the blazing farm home, which was destroyed.
