Description	:	OBIT: The funeral of Jack J. Ferrier, former Ellensburg man who was drowned in the Yakima River near Yakima two weeks ago was held Wednesday afternoon with Rev. W. A. Moore officiating. Interment was in Tahoma Mausoleum, Yakima. The body was recovered on the bank of an island in the river northeast of the Cascade Mill Pond Monday evening by Babe George, Thomas Taylor and Deputy sheriffs, W. E. Gano and Emory Hale. The body was recovered on the bank of an island in the river northeast of the Cascade Mill Pond Monday evening by Babe George, Thomas Taylor and Deputy sheriffs, W. E. Gano and Emory Hale. The body, which was partially out of the water, was over a mile from the place where Ferrier fell into the river while attempting to adjust a cable at the gravel plant where he was employed. Mr. Ferrier was 38 years old and had lived in this part of the state for many years. The family includes his wife, Mrs. Delia M. Ferrier; his father Ed Ferrier of Ellensburg, a sister, Mrs. Jane McDevitt of Spokane; two brothers, Jess of Ellensburg and Harry of Spokane and two daughteers by a former marriage, who are now living in Seattle.
