He was... Read More	JOHN MOELLER DIES IN NORFOLK HOSPITAL John Moeller died at the Lutheran hospital in Norfolk on Monday morning at 9:30. Mr. Moeller had been in ill health for the past two years, and everything possible in medical science was administered for his relief, but it proved of no avail. Death was attributed to cancer of the stomach. The deceased was born at Hooper, Neb., on February 9, 1888, and died at Norfolk on September 28, 1936, at the age of 48 years, 7 months, and 19 days. He was confirmed in the Golgatha Evangelical Lutheran church in Columbia township, Knox county, and lived his faith to the last. He came to Knox county from Hooper, Nebr., and the days of his youth were spent on a farm with his parents seven and a half miles east of Creighton. On February 25, 1926, he was united in marriage to Miss Elsie Luckert of Bloomfield. There were no children. Following their marriage Mr. Moeller and his wife resided on a farm northeast of town until this Fall when he was compelled to retire from active work on account of failing health. At the time of his death Mr. and Mrs. Moeller were residing in Creighton at the home of his mother, Mrs. Augusta Moeller. During his long residence in this vicinity, Mr. Moeller accumulated scores and scores of acquaintances. He was a loyal citizen and was four square in all his dealings. Besides his wife, he leaves to mourn his mother, Mrs. Augusta Moeller, two brothers, Deed O. and Jake Moeller of Creighton; and four sisters, Mrs. David Johnson, Winner, S. D., Mrs. Henry Wilker, Creighton, Mrs. Raymond Siercks, Wausa; and Mrs. Raymond Mattson, Tucumcari, New Mexico. His father preceded him in death on September 27, 1930. He was the eldest son of the family. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 from the home of his mother, at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran church at 2:00 p.m. Rev. George Obermeyer officiated at the last rites. Burial was made in Greenwood Cemetery. The Creighton News, Creighton (Knox County), Nebraska October 1, 1936
