Taught in Glenwood, IA for one year and then left teaching to go into business with his parents at Peru Building and Supply in Peru, NE, until the time of his death in a work-related accident. John loved scuba diving and flying his plane. Married to Gerri L. (Asa)Brammer. Left behind his wife, step-daughter, Leslie, his parents, and sister, Karen (Pat) Hamm, niece, Trisha, nephews, Trent & Trace Hamm, Wood River, IL.
