He is survived by his wife; five sons, Richard of Corpus Christi, Texas, William of Yellowstone Park, Wyo., John R. and Jon of Ottumwa, and Alan Huisinga, also of Ottumwa; four daughters, Linda Barton and Jan Collins, both of Ottumwa, Candis Olson of Mount Carroll, Ill., and Cara Collins of Oskaloosa; 15 grandchildren; one brother, Michael of Farmington, Mass.; three sisters, Frances Folkers of Murphy, N.C., Patricia Kratovil of Steger, Ill., and Dolores Frank of Omaha, Neb. He was preceded in death by one son, Dale Edward. The service will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Johnson Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Donald J. Baker of the Bethel United Pentecostal Church officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery, with military services by the VFW. Active pallbearers will be Bob Denning, Dave Eslinger, George Kostas, Kenny Lee, Wilbur Glascow, and Charles Canny. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Ruby, Al Lind, John Babb, Harry Maxwell, Donald Gruwell, and Richard Kitterman. The family will be at the funeral chapel from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. today. A memorial has been established payable to the family, in care of the funeral chapel.
